Swell Adventures was born from a simple observation: most surf travel experiences were either too commercial, lacking authentic cultural connection, or focused only on advanced surfers. We saw a gap for conscious, community-driven surf travel that truly empowers every participant, regardless of their skill level.
Our founders, longtime surfers and travel enthusiasts, spent years exploring the world’s best surf destinations. Through countless adventures, they discovered that the most transformative experiences happened when local culture, personal growth, and wave riding merged into something magical.

2016 - The First Trip
Our first group trip to Portugal with just 6 participants. The feedback was incredible – people loved the personal attention, cultural immersion, and sense of community.
2018 - Expanding Horizons
Added Brazil and Indonesia to our destinations. Developed our signature coaching methodology that combines technical improvement with mindful ocean connection.
2020 - Going Digital
Launched our online community and virtual coaching sessions during the pandemic, keeping our tribe connected even when travel wasn’t possible.
2024 - Sustainable Future
Today, we’ve guided over 500 surfers across 12 countries, with a 98% satisfaction rate. Our focus remains on quality, community, and conscious travel.
