Swell Adventures isn't about escaping life – it's about diving headfirst into it. We're a crew of wave-chasers who've learned that the real magic lies in the journey, not just the destination. We've mistimed sets, gotten lost in translation, and even eaten a few questionable delicacies along the way. But each stumble has taught us something profound about the world and ourselves. We're here to share that with you – the connection, the growth, the pure stoke of finding your rhythm in a world of unpredictable swells.
Our Story
Lucas (Brazil) & Suzanne (Romania) met more than two years ago in the water on a rainy day in Rio de Janeiro. Their story with surfing is pretty simple: They got hooked. Like, insanely hooked.

Lucas has been surfing since he was 10 years old and has a local Surf School in Rio de Janeiro . He used to go to surf competitions as a groom, and now, he's been organizing surftrips in Brazil for the last couple of years and has traveled to places like Mexico, El Salvador, and Indonesia to get barreled.

Suzanne started chasing swells all over the globe in 2018, after graduating with her Destination Development bachelor's degree in Amsterdam. But something was missing. It wasn't enough to just ride the waves - she wanted to understand the cultures, the people, the magic behind those perfect breaks and apply all her knowledge of working with local communities.

That's how Swell Adventures was born. We're here to share the stoke, the adventure, and the transformative power of surfing, all while treading lightly on this beautiful planet and making friends.
