Our 13-day adventure takes you through two of Indonesia’s most iconic surf destinations.
Days 1–5: Bali
Start the trip in Bali, warming up on world-class reef breaks and mellow beach waves. We’ll surf, explore temples, enjoy local food, and settle into the island rhythm.
Days 6–12: Lombok
A short boat transfer brings us to Lombok, where longboard-friendly points and beginner-friendly waves await. Here, you’ll enjoy quieter beaches, uncrowded lineups, and plenty of coaching time.
Special Experience – Whale Sharks in Sumbawa
One day is dedicated to an unforgettable trip: snorkeling with whale sharks in their natural environment. A once-in-a-lifetime encounter you’ll never forget.
Day 13: Return & Farewell
We’ll wrap up the journey with a final surf, a group breakfast, and shared memories before heading back with new friends and plenty of stories to tell.
A typical day on the trip blends surfing, learning, exploring, connecting and relaxing island-style:
Morning – Early surf session at the best spot for the day, guided by local coaches. Coffee, fresh fruit, and breakfast right after.
Midday – Free time to rest, explore the town, snorkel, or simply relax by the pool.
Afternoon – Second surf session or coaching workshop (video analysis, theory, or technique tips).
Evening – Sunset gatherings, shared dinners, and time to unwind with the crew.
Each day is balanced between progress in the water and the joy of discovering Bali & Lombok’s culture, atmosphere, and landscapes.
Kick off the trip at Kala Surf Camp, a stylish yet relaxed surf lodge tucked away near Uluwatu’s legendary breaks. With tropical gardens, a pool to cool off in after your session, and a social vibe that brings surfers together, Kala is all about comfort and community. Rooms are simple, clean, and cozy—exactly what you need to rest well and wake up ready for another day in the water.

For the Lombok leg, we’ll upgrade the experience with a stay at El Trópico, a boutique surf retreat that blends modern design with tropical charm. The property offers a pool surrounded by palm trees, a restaurant with fresh island-inspired meals, and a serene setting that feels like your own little oasis.

Your adventure begins at Ngurah Rai International Airport, in Denpasar (Bali) — the main gateway to the island.
There are direct flights from several Asian capitals and easy connections from Europe and South America (usually via Doha, Dubai, Kuala Lumpur, or Singapore).
Upon arrival in Bali, our team will be ready to organize transfers and take you to your accommodation in Uluwatu, where we’ll spend the first days of the trip.
After our stay in Bali (Uluwatu and Ubud), we’ll continue together to Lombok.
The trip will be made by fast boat, with a duration of approximately 2 hours, crossing the crystal-clear waters that separate the two islands.
Once we arrive in Lombok, we’ll head straight to El Trópico, our base for surfing, relaxing, and good vibes.
After days of surf and relaxation in Lombok, we’ll return to Bali by fast boat, a journey of about 2 hours.
The crossing is smooth and offers beautiful views of the islands along the way.

Visa: Most nationalities can enter Indonesia with a Visa on Arrival (VOA) that costs around USD 35 and is valid for 30 days (with the possibility to extend once). Make sure your passport is valid for at least 6 months from the date of entry. Apply here.
Flights: If you plan to arrive earlier or stay longer than the official trip dates, extra nights and transfers will come at an additional cost. Let us know in advance so we can assist you with logistics.
Accommodation Upgrades: Our standard package includes a Suite King or Twin Room with Bath Tub at El Trópico, right in front of the main pool. If you’d like to upgrade to a different category, please contact us directly for availability and pricing.
Surf Equipment: Surfboards and equipment are included in the package. But you can bring your own board(s). Remember to check airline policies and costs for board bags.
Clothing & Essentials: Pack light and tropical — swimsuits, light clothes, sunscreen, a reusable water bottle, sandals, and a hat. A light rain jacket and comfortable sneakers are also recommended for exploring Ubud and Lombok.
Physical Preparation: The trip includes both in-water surf coaching and land-based practice (mobility, positioning, and line training). Arriving with a basic fitness routine will help you get the most out of the sessions.
Whale Shark Expedition: The whale shark experience requires a minimum of 24 hours and involves traveling from Lombok to Saleh Bay in Sumbawa. The journey follows the local overland route: approximately 2 hours by car from Lombok to the ferry port, 1 hour 30 minutes by ferry, followed by around 3 hours 30 minutes driving across Sumbawa to reach the whale shark area. To make the return smoother, we will fly back from Sumbawa (SWQ) to Lombok (LOP) — a short 40-minute domestic flight followed by a transfer back to the accommodation.
Travel Insurance: Strongly recommended. Make sure your policy covers surf activities, medical assistance, and trip changes.
