1. Booking Your Spot<\/b><\/h3>

Your spot on a Swell Adventures trip is confirmed once:<\/span><\/p>

  • The booking form is completed<\/span>

    <\/span><\/li>
  • The deposit is paid<\/span>

    <\/span><\/li>
  • You receive a written confirmation from our team<\/span>

    <\/span><\/li><\/ul>

    We keep our groups intentionally small. Once a trip sells out, we cannot guarantee availability.<\/span><\/p>

    2. Payment Structure<\/b><\/h3>

    Each destination has its own payment schedule, clearly stated on the trip page.<\/span><\/p>

    Standard structure (unless otherwise specified):<\/b><\/p>

    • 30\u201350% non-refundable deposit to secure your spot<\/span>

      <\/span><\/li>
    • Remaining balance due 30\u201360 days before the trip start date<\/span>

      <\/span><\/li><\/ul>

      If the final balance is not paid by the due date, we reserve the right to release your spot without refund of deposit.<\/span><\/p>

      3. Deposits<\/b><\/h3>

      Deposits are <\/span>non-refundable<\/b>.<\/span><\/p>

      Why?<\/span>
      <\/span> Because once you book:<\/span><\/p>

      • Accommodation is reserved<\/span>

        <\/span><\/li>
      • Local staff and coaches are scheduled<\/span>

        <\/span><\/li>
      • Permits and logistics are secured<\/span>

        <\/span><\/li>
      • Currency exchange and vendor commitments are made<\/span>

        <\/span><\/li><\/ul>

        However:<\/span><\/p>

        • If you cancel early, your deposit may be transferable to another Swell Adventures trip within 12 months (one-time transfer, subject to availability).<\/span>

          <\/span><\/li>
        • Transfers are not guaranteed and depend on the destination\u2019s supplier agreements.<\/span>

          <\/span><\/li><\/ul>

          4. Cancellation Policy<\/b><\/h3>

          Because we operate in multiple countries, cancellation terms vary slightly by destination.<\/span><\/p>

          Unless otherwise stated on the specific trip page:<\/span><\/p>

          60+ days before departure<\/b><\/h4>

          You may cancel and receive a refund of payments made minus your non-refundable deposit.<\/span><\/p>

          \u00a0<\/p>

          30\u201359 days before departure<\/b><\/h4>

          50% of total trip cost is non-refundable.<\/span><\/p>

          \u00a0<\/p>

          Less than 30 days before departure<\/b><\/h4>

          100% of the trip cost is non-refundable.<\/span><\/p>

          No-shows are non-refundable.<\/span><\/p>

          5. Destination-Specific Policies<\/b><\/h3>

          Some destinations (such as Indonesia, Peru, or Carnival-period Brazil trips) have stricter policies due to:<\/span><\/p>

          • High-season accommodation blocks<\/span>

            <\/span><\/li>
          • Remote-location logistics<\/span>

            <\/span><\/li>
          • Non-refundable local vendor contracts<\/span>

            <\/span><\/li>
          • Special event pricing (e.g., Carnival)<\/span>

            <\/span><\/li><\/ul>

            In those cases, the specific cancellation policy will be clearly stated on the trip page and overrides the general policy above.<\/span><\/p>

            6. Trip Minimums<\/b><\/h3>

            All trips require a minimum number of participants.<\/span><\/p>

            If a trip does not reach minimum capacity:<\/span><\/p>

            • You will receive a full refund<\/span>

            • Or the option to transfer to another trip<\/span>

              <\/span><\/li><\/ul>

              We are not responsible for airfare or external expenses.<\/span><\/p>

              7. Travel Insurance (Strongly Recommended)<\/b><\/h3>

              We strongly recommend comprehensive travel insurance that includes:<\/span><\/p>

              • Trip cancellation<\/span>

                <\/span><\/li>
              • Medical coverage<\/span>

                <\/span><\/li>
              • Surf\/sport coverage<\/span>

                <\/span><\/li>
              • Emergency evacuation<\/span>

                <\/span><\/li><\/ul>

                We are not responsible for personal injury, medical costs, lost luggage, delayed flights, or unforeseen travel disruptions.<\/span><\/p>

                8. Weather & Ocean Conditions<\/b><\/h3>

                Surf conditions are never guaranteed.<\/span><\/p>

                We design trips around optimal seasonal windows, but:<\/span><\/p>

                • Swell<\/span>

                  <\/span><\/li>
                • Wind<\/span>

                  <\/span><\/li>
                • Weather<\/span>

                  <\/span><\/li>
                • Tide<\/span>

                  <\/span><\/li>
                • Sandbanks<\/span>

                  <\/span><\/li><\/ul>

                  Are outside of our control.<\/span><\/p>

                  No refunds are issued due to ocean conditions.<\/span><\/p>

                  9. Name Changes \/ Transfers<\/b><\/h3>

                  If you cannot attend, you may transfer your spot to another person:<\/span><\/p>

                  • At least 30 days before departure<\/span>

                    <\/span><\/li>
                  • Subject to approval<\/span>

                    <\/span><\/li>
                  • Any administrative fees are the responsibility of the original participant<\/span>

                    Surfing and ocean-based activities involve inherent risk.<\/span><\/p>

                    By booking a Swell Adventures trip, you acknowledge:<\/span><\/p>

                    • You are physically capable of participating<\/span>

                      <\/span><\/li>
                    • You understand the risks of ocean sports<\/span>

                      <\/span><\/li>
                    • You assume responsibility for your participation<\/span>

                      <\/span><\/li><\/ul>

                      You agree to follow all safety instructions from instructors and local guides.<\/span><\/p>

                      2. Health & Fitness<\/b><\/h3>

                      Participants are responsible for:<\/span><\/p>

                      • Being medically fit for travel and surfing<\/span>

                        <\/span><\/li>
                      • Disclosing relevant medical conditions<\/span>

                        <\/span><\/li>
                      • Bringing necessary medications<\/span>

                        <\/span><\/li><\/ul>

                        We are not medical providers.<\/span><\/p>

                        3. Liability<\/b><\/h3>

                        Swell Adventures acts as a facilitator between participants and local service providers (accommodation, transport, surf guides, etc.).<\/span><\/p>

                        We are not liable for:<\/span><\/p>

                        • Acts of third-party providers<\/span>

                          <\/span><\/li>
                        • Weather events<\/span>

                          <\/span><\/li>
                        • Political disruptions<\/span>

                          <\/span><\/li>
                        • Airline issues<\/span>

                          <\/span><\/li>
                        • Lost baggage<\/span>

                          <\/span><\/li>
                        • Personal injury resulting from participant negligence<\/span>

                          <\/span><\/li><\/ul>

                          Our liability is limited to the amount paid directly to Swell Adventures.<\/span><\/p>

                          4. Itinerary Changes<\/b><\/h3>

                          We reserve the right to:<\/span><\/p>

                          • Modify schedules<\/span>

                            <\/span><\/li>
                          • Adjust accommodation<\/span>

                            <\/span><\/li>
                          • Change activities<\/span>

                            <\/span><\/li>
                          • Alter surf spots<\/span>

                            <\/span><\/li><\/ul>

                            If necessary due to safety, weather, local conditions, or operational reasons.<\/span><\/p>

                            We will always prioritize safety and experience quality.<\/span><\/p>

                            5. Force Majeure<\/b><\/h3>

                            We are not responsible for cancellations or changes due to events beyond our control, including:<\/span><\/p>

                            • Natural disasters<\/span>

                            • Government restrictions<\/span>

                            • Pandemics<\/span>

                              <\/span><\/li>
                            • Political instability<\/span>

                              <\/span><\/li>
                            • Strikes<\/span>

                              <\/span><\/li>
                            • Airline cancellations<\/span>

                              In such cases, refunds depend on what can be recovered from local partners.<\/span><\/p>

                              6. Code of Conduct<\/b><\/h3>

                              We are building a strong, respectful surf community.<\/span><\/p>

                              We reserve the right to remove a participant without refund if they:<\/span><\/p>

                              • Engage in dangerous behavior<\/span>

                                <\/span><\/li>
                              • Disrespect local culture<\/span>

                                <\/span><\/li>
                              • Disrupt the group dynamic<\/span>

                                <\/span><\/li>
                              • Use illegal substances<\/span>

                                <\/span><\/li><\/ul>

                                Safety and group integrity come first.<\/span><\/p>

                                7. Media & Content<\/b><\/h3>

                                During trips, we may capture photo and video content.<\/span><\/p>

                                By participating, you grant Swell Adventures permission to use this content for:<\/span><\/p>

                                • Social media<\/span>

                                • Website<\/span>

                                  <\/span><\/li>
                                • Marketing materials<\/span>

                                  <\/span><\/li><\/ul>

                                  If you prefer not to appear, you must inform us in writing before the trip.<\/span><\/p>

                                  8. Passport & Visa Responsibility<\/b><\/h3>

                                  Participants are responsible for:<\/span><\/p>

                                  • Valid passports<\/span>

                                    <\/span><\/li>
                                  • Visa requirements<\/span>

                                  • Entry regulations<\/span>

                                    <\/span><\/li>
                                  • Vaccination requirements<\/span>

                                    <\/span><\/li><\/ul>

                                    We are not responsible for denied entry.<\/span><\/p>
