With daily coaching, video feedback, and guidance from experienced local instructors, you’ll have the support to progress while enjoying every session.

Why You’ll Love It

Consistent tropical waves
March offers warm water, playful swells, and a variety of surf breaks suitable for different experience levels.

Two islands, two different surf experiences
From Bali’s world-famous coastline to Lombok’s relaxed atmosphere and uncrowded waves, you’ll experience two unique sides of Indonesian surf culture.

More than just surfing
Between surf sessions we’ll explore waterfalls, local cafés, hidden beaches, temples, and some of the islands’ most beautiful viewpoints, experiencing Indonesia beyond the lineup.

A community that shares the same passion
Travel alongside a small group of surfers who share the same excitement for the ocean, adventure, and meaningful travel.

The Experience

Expect 11 days of guided surf sessions, coaching, video analysis, carefully selected accommodations, and authentic local experiences. From sunrise surf checks and tropical breakfasts to sunset dinners and evenings spent sharing stories after a day in the water, this journey is designed to balance surf progression, exploration, and connection.

Itinerary

Our 11-day journey takes us across two of Indonesia’s most iconic islands, combining surf progression, cultural exploration, and the relaxed rhythm of island life.

  • Days 1–5: Bali

We begin our adventure in Bali, where we’ll spend the first few days getting comfortable in the water and settling into the tropical pace of the island.

We’ll enjoy three guided surf days, exploring different breaks depending on the conditions, with coaching and video feedback to help you progress at your own pace.

Between surf sessions, we’ll discover local cafés, beaches, and one of Bali’s cultural highlights: Ubud, where lush rice terraces, temples, waterfalls, and artisan markets offer a completely different side of the island.

  • Days 6–10: Lombok

After a scenic boat transfer, we arrive in Lombok, a quieter island known for its laid-back atmosphere, beautiful coastline, and uncrowded waves.

Over the next four days, we’ll continue our surf progression with daily coaching while exploring some of Lombok’s most beautiful beaches and viewpoints. The slower pace of the island makes it the perfect place to disconnect, relax, and spend as much time as possible in the ocean.

  • Day 11: Return to Bali
On our final day, we’ll travel back to Bali before departures, taking with us new friendships, unforgettable surf sessions, and memories from two incredible islands.

A Typical Day

Every day follows the rhythm of the ocean. We choose the best surf spot according to the swell, tides, and the group’s experience level to ensure everyone gets the most out of each session.

Morning
Breakfast followed by a guided surf session with local coaches, personalized tips, and plenty of time in the water.

Afternoon
Time to relax, enjoy a local café, explore nearby beaches, visit waterfalls or viewpoints, or simply recharge by the pool before the next adventure.

Evening
Sunset gatherings, shared dinners, video feedback sessions, and time to unwind with the group after another day in paradise.

Rather than rushing from one attraction to another, this trip is designed to let you experience Indonesia at a slower pace, balancing surf progression, meaningful travel, and genuine connection with the people and places around you.

How to Arrive

Departure Planning

To arrive in Bali on time for the start of the trip:

  • Travelers from North or South America should plan to depart on March 21, as the journey typically takes around two days due to flight duration and time zone differences.
  • Travelers from Europe should plan to depart on March 22, as most itineraries require approximately one day of travel.
How to Get to Denpasar

Your adventure begins at Ngurah Rai International Airport, in Denpasar (Bali) — the main gateway to the island.

There are direct flights from several Asian capitals and easy connections from Europe and South America (usually via Doha, Dubai, Kuala Lumpur, or Singapore).

Upon arrival in Bali, our team will be ready to organize transfers and take you to your accommodation in Uluwatu, where we’ll spend the first days of the trip.

Arrival in Lombok

After our stay in Bali (Uluwatu and Ubud), we’ll continue together to Lombok.

The trip will be made by fast boat, with a duration of approximately 2 hours, crossing the crystal-clear waters that separate the two islands.

Once we arrive in Lombok, we’ll head straight to our boutique hotel, our base for surfing, relaxing, and good vibes.

Returning to Bali

After days of surf and relaxation in Lombok, we’ll return to Bali by fast boat, a journey of about 2 hours.

The crossing is smooth and offers beautiful views of the islands along the way.

Flight Assistance

Not sure which flight is best? ✈️ We’ll schedule a quick call with you to help purchase the correct plane ticket, ensuring you arrive on time and stress-free.

Important Notes

  • Visa: Most nationalities can enter Indonesia with a Visa on Arrival (VOA) that costs around USD 35 and is valid for 30 days (with the possibility to extend once). Make sure your passport is valid for at least 6 months from the date of entry. WATCH OUT FOR UNOFFICIAL WEBSITES CHARGHING MORE THAN THIS. Apply here.

  • Flights: If you plan to arrive earlier or stay longer than the official trip dates, extra nights and transfers will come at an additional cost. Let us know in advance so we can assist you with logistics.

  • Accommodation Upgrades: Our standard package includes a Suite King or Twin Room with Bath Tub in Lombok, right in front of the main pool. If you’d like to upgrade to a different category, please contact us directly for availability and pricing.

  • Surf Equipment: Surfboards and equipment are included in the package. But you can bring your own board(s). Remember to check airline policies and costs for board bags.

  • Clothing & Essentials: Pack light and tropical — swimsuits, light clothes, sunscreen, a reusable water bottle, sandals, and a hat. A light rain jacket and comfortable sneakers are also recommended for exploring Ubud and Lombok.

  • Physical Preparation: The trip includes both in-water surf coaching and land-based practice (mobility, positioning, and line training). Arriving with a basic fitness routine will help you get the most out of the sessions.

  • Optional Whale Shark Expedition: The whale shark experience requires a minimum of 24 hours and involves traveling from Lombok to Saleh Bay in Sumbawa. The journey follows the local overland route: approximately 2 hours by car from Lombok to the ferry port, 1 hour 30 minutes by ferry, followed by around 3 hours 30 minutes driving across Sumbawa to reach the whale shark area. To make the return smoother, we will fly back from Sumbawa (SWQ) to Lombok (LOP) — a short 40-minute domestic flight followed by a transfer back to the accommodation.

  • 👉 Bonus: Everyone who books this surf trip will get instant access to the Surfnorip platform — surf-specific functional trainings with no equipment needed, just 20–25 minutes per session. Perfect to start preparing now for the surf trip of your dreams.
  • Travel Insurance: Strongly recommended. Make sure your policy covers surf activities, medical assistance, and trip changes.

  • Extra Costs to Consider: Plane tickets from Lombok to Bali if you want to skip the boat transfer. Meals outside of breakfast, personal spending, insurance, and nightlife activities are not included.
